Season-pool winnings are valued in Bitcoin at payout — each winner’s share of what the pool’s BTC was worth on payout day in December (the pool is bought in BTC each August). Winners are paid in BTC; we lock each manager’s return at the payout-day price, since we can’t see whether they keep holding afterward. Weekly side bets are cash. So a title in a BTC-up year is worth more than the nominal pool, and less in a down year.
Cash already in this season. Buy-ins are paid; weekly winnings accrue every Tuesday as weeks score; season-pool winnings stay TBD until the BTC payout in late December — nothing here is final until then.
